World Languages Lab (former PIRC lab)
Welcome to the World Languages Lab!
The World Languages Lab is a space open to all Cal Poly students taking language classes in the Modern Languages and Literatures (MLL) Department.
You can come to the World Languages Lab to study, do your homework assignments, and receive help in the target language you are studying! Or you can drop by the center just to practice conversation!
At the World Languages Lab, we have lab monitors (fellow Cal Poly peers) who can assist you with questions you may have about an exercise, composition, or grammar points in the target language (Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Italian, and Japanese).
Look at the schedule below (in red) to see what lab monitors are available this quarter, at what time they can be found in the lab, and which languages they speak. Give it a try!
We also offer the Placement Exam at the World Languages Lab. To know when we will be offering the next Placement Exam, please take a look at the home page of the MLL department.
Finally, some language classes are also held in the World Languages Lab; the classes offered this quarter at the World Languages Lab can be also found in this schedule.
NOTE: The World Languages Lab is closed when no lab monitor is available, and it is also closed during finals.
LOCATION: Building 10, Room 128
